Opening of one conference grant for all YRIs

YRI Conference consists in a presentation of the own work given by a Young Researcher and Innovator (YRI) for her/his participation in high-level conferences fully organized by a third party, i.e. not organized nor co-organized by the COST Action. 

YRI Conference:

  • Serve COST Excellence and Inclusiveness Policy;
  • Support Young Researchers and Innovators to establish a strong network and increase their visibility in the research community through sharing their work and to gain knowledge;
  • Can contribute to increasing visibility of the Action.

YRI Conference benefit to:

  • the YRI Conference Grantee receives support for attending and presenting their work (oral presentation) at a conference and can establish new contacts for future collaborations.

The amount of the grant is to provide a contribution for travelling, accommodation and subsistence expenses, registration fee and overall effort.

E-NICHE is now opening the possibility of one grant for one E-NICHE YRI (from any COST country in E-NICHE) to go to an international conference clearly related to Chemical Ecology. The grant amount is of 1000 euros maximum. Deadline for application will be May 15, 2026. Results will be announced ASAP after selection of proposal (by the end of May). The conference must be ending at the latest September 30, 2026. Final report should be sent very rapidly after the end of the conference.

To apply, please upload the following supporting grant documentation through the Conference Grant Application link and use the following template added with:

  • A motivation letter describing the relevance of the candidate’s oral or poster (preferably oral) contribution to the conference for the mission of E-NICHE as well as the potential impact on the applicant’s career.
  • Acceptance letter from the conference organizers
  • Copy of the abstract of the accepted oral (or poster) presentation

Note the grant will be issued after the conference and only if the recipient submits a brief report and proof of attendance. Take care to apply before the closing of the registration and abstract submission deadline of the conference.
