Opening of 2 new STSMs

The E-NICHE Action is pleased to announce the opening of two new STSMs (Short-Term Scientific Missions).

Important Notes for the next E-NICHE STSM grant:

  • The amount of one STSM grant will be a maximum of 2,000 euros.
  • An applicant must have a profile on the e-COST platform and be participant to E-NICHE activities (WGs).
  • You should read the Grant Awarding User Guide you will find also here prior to your submission.
  • There must be a clear relationship between our action objectives and your activities mentioned in the application form.
  • New application possibilities are now open.
  • Deadline for application is May 15, 2026.
  • Applicants will be notified of the results by the end of May 2026, and the funded STSMs can start from June 2026.

Also, please include all of the following supporting informations:

  1. Invitation/Agreement Letter: A letter signed by a senior researcher affiliated to the host institution detailing the aim, starting date, and duration of the STSM.
  2. Letter of Support: A letter signed by a senior researcher from the home institution confirming the STSM and its aim.
  3. Motivation Letter from the applicant: A letter summarizing the main scientific goals and need for the STSM, as well as its relevance for the applicant, home/host institutions.
  4. Applicant’s CV: A full CV including a list of academic publications (English).
  5. Full curriculum vitae of the head of the research group in the host institution.
